I love to run, enjoying the freedom and finding it relaxing which surprises a lot of people.

When I delve a little deeper with the people who are surprised by my love or running, there are often past experiences of niggling injuries or discomfort and a belief that running or even exercise in general is responsible for pain and injury. This is then a good excuse not to exercise at all!

As I have got older I can certainly accept that we need to ease in to new, or increased levels of exercise, BUT cannot accept it is a cause of injury and the benefits of being fit are huge.

I have set up Posture First as a personal training business but with an initial, special focus to check posture symmetry, gait, weight distribution (for balance) and foot plant to ensure that a good technique is developed to achieve your goals for a sustained period. Posture First was set up initially for running which, as a high impact sport, the extra checks are definitely worthwhile. However, it was soon clear than striving for an efficient posture had benefits in absolutely everything we do and so the business was expanded to cover key topics that I feel very passionate about.

Balance, coordination, range of movement can all be improved along with your fitness with programs developed to fit your needs. I have a science background and measure the data for you to help set goals with key milestones along the way. Give it a go!
